3 reasons for my question:
(1) there's a company that resets SRS modules (and i assume they can do it without the accompanying car)
(2) i have 3 of them for the same car that are all in fault mode. i've found in the past that, for transient faults, substituting a known used good module for a bad one usually solves most issues. it's also cheaper than having mechanic with a TECH 2 or ISAT reset them.
(3)my wife's 9000 has a SRS issue that will probably necessitate my swapping out components in an effort to isolate the fault. having a supply of reset modules would make the process easier. i think we are at the point in the life cycle of these cars where used components are cheaper than diagnostics. this is especially true where diagnostics can only be performed by a device that is either too expensive or inaccessible to the typical shade tree mechanic.
