Well would you believe it!
When I settled down to replace the tensioner and fanbelt, I popped the hood and as I was still thinking it was firing on three - I thought "well ive replaced the plugs and the DI cassette, so the only other thing that could cause it to fire on three would be fuel - the injector. I gave a test pull to each of the injector wiring plugs and the last one came straight off! It hadnt clicked into place when I did the headgasket job last summer!
Once I finished the tensioner and fanbelt mess - fired her up and she was purring like a kitten!
Mad mix of emotions - over the moon that she was ok and that I hadnt done something horribly expensive - then kicking myself for not thinking of that in the first place - driving around for a month with her chugging around on three cylinders!
The delight won the emotion battle though, me being a glass hlaf full kinda guy! :-)
Many thanks for all the tips though guys! Always appreciate people who make the effort to help out, thanks everyone!
Kind regards
Andy (West London)
