Drivers window inoperable.. need advice please Posted by dave24 [Email] (#457) [Profile/Gallery] (more from dave24) on Tue, 9 Mar 2010 14:31:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I need some advice regarding my 97 Aero...
My drivers side window has operated intermittently for a while. I narrowed it down to the connection block where the door harness plugs into the body harness - inside the door jamb. If I wiggled that connection, I could get it work... for a while. I took the connector apart today to examine it, and I believe I have a wire break within the harness from the door - right by the connector block.
Now trying to figure out how to repair this. Does anyone have experience with replacing the wire harness from the door? and if so, how hard is this? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Alternative, should I consider trying to splice the wire? It's in an area that is moved every time the door is opened/closed, so I am not sure if this would be a workable solution.
