About TCS. Some people have had complete horror stories with their TCS-equipped cars. I'm here to tell you that not all cars with TCS will be a headache. My '93 9000 Aero (5spd, 122K) has been absolutely trouble free in the nearly 7 years and 80K miles I've owned it.
Granted, the TCS system isn't the best system ever made (It's actually quite herky-jerky when the tires begin to slip) but it's not always a disease.
I'd be more concerned about having a spare DI, a serpentine belt, and properly inflated tires for that trip back to VT.
Enjoy the new car,
~Peter
