DIY option not a high-percentage one

Just beware of the fact that many (if not most) turbos cannot be rebuilt without the use of special equipment, because if things have gone very far in the deterioration process you can be looking at:
* Cracks or erosion of the turbo housing itself
* Requirement for oversized bearings which necessitates boring of the housing
* Destruction of the turbine shaft, requiring full replacement
It's usually money better spent to find a decent used part or spring for a professionally rebuilt unit. People who make their living selling DIY kits always seem to omit these caveats.
Given you're looking for a 2.0 turbo, have you investigated Fleabay, or Goldwing Saab parts? The latter is a site sponsor and I've had great experiences through them. I am not affiliated, etc., etc.
