Is there a 'this swaps to that, AND IS CA SMOG LEGAL' flow chart or 'family tree'?
I've heard "you can swap newer engine into older car" for Smog Check.
Is that the actual metal they are talking about, or do they look at engine numbers and will disqualify an older motor in newer car?
I'm asking because I see mostly A/T 9000 in junk yard, often with indications the motor is still good(like obvious collision damage that is the reason it is in the junkyard).
Does a 9000 motor from an A/T bolt onto a 5spd? What about the 'goodies' like F.I. and ignition?
