alegedly simply inserting Autoparts shop standard (cheap) Hi beam bulbs (9005)into the Low beam sockets makes for significant Lo beam improvements. Minor mod required on the hi beam bulb's socket plug (remove the tangs) to allow it to plug into the low beam power plug. apparently no reported issues with relay or wiring.
I'm becoming curious enough to try it :-)
