Opinions needed on a bad dash rheostat (dimmer) Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Thu, 30 Dec 2010 22:41:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My dash lights (or lack thereof) in my '95 have been driving me crazy for over a year. The problem started out intermittently; the lights would blink on and off when I hit bumps, etc. Then they started only coming on when the car interior was warm, but still would turn on and off. So I replaced the rheostat with an ebay one. Problem solved...for like a week till this one started acting up.
Now the only time I have functioning dash lights is if I pull out the dimmer and squeeze the body near the connector.
In the opinion of the Board, does this sound like another bum rheostat? At this point I will probably just buy a new one if that is the consensus.
Thanks for any advice!
