you are? talking about those Ali ends on the front end of the front A Arm bushing pivot.. the things that keep the Arm from moving forward in use. Which are sacrificial (break instantly) if you bang a curb?.
I'm confused by the getting them from the top ??.. .. Seems impossible, or at best very odd, based on my experiences.. why would one want/need to? It's ugly enough from underneath.
The ones I've replaced are a bit of a pain 'first time' but actually fairly easy to replace once you know the procedure.
Never used, nor ever felt the need to use TQ wrench on these.
Just a good solid pull on the Ratchet handle.
Those Saab bolts aren't that weak. Never had one come loose and embarassingly, I've replaced a 'few'.
