I am still haveing cold start issues and an area Saab specialty mech suggested I disconnect the AMM to see if that helps in cold starting... I cant locate this part but Im pretty sure my car does have one as I looked up the part online and it listed several options on a few different sites...
Any other suggestions? Air and fuel filters, spark plugs, and NTC sensor have been replaced with no effect.
I have several crys for help on this board within the last few weeks and I appreciate everyones input!
Recap:
I am at high elevation (9000+ ft).
Below zero most likely wont start. I can sometimes get it to start but I have to pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the key till it catches and quickly put the fuse back in before it stalls :/
0-30 degrees the car starts but only when I put my foot on the pedal during starting to give more air.
If the engine is hot, I can shut down and it will start back up easily with no tricks...
The car runs great and doesnt have any other known issues. No check engine lights. Boosts like crazy. TCS is working perfectly fine (knock on wood)
When I had the car down in Denver after the first no start for diagnosis (ended up just getting the tune up) The mech said he started it with no problems and it was -8 degrees so It has to have something to do with the altitude/not enough air.
Im running out of ideas and thinking maybe Ill just sell it to one of you and let you deal with it! :P
Is there any way to reset the ECU or reprogram it to allow more air to the mix?
Thanks for any thoughts :)
