read it on here some time back.
This has worked perfectly for me, every single time.
First spray some lube (WD40 isn't Lube) into the base of the things , trying to lube the o rings. Then using (only) Water pump pliers set the Jaws for the exact to that tab, then pull Straight Up.. only., No wiggling side to side either.
Don't forget to pull back the housings'wee retaining tab at the same time :-)
If the lube has had time to reach the o rings the valve will pop out fairly easily. If feeling unsure, or genuine resistance while pulling, relube and wait till next day.
IF so unfortunate as to need to replace the plastic fuel line onto the output/pressure side valve, then someone here claimed success with using the Clamp part of a Tubing Flare kit as substitute for the Saab clamp tool
