They make an adapter plate (or it might be a custom bell-housing) that will make the newer b series motors mount up to a RWD tranny. Ford t5 I think. I think the adapter was made for a Vauxhall so that might help you find more info. Check some of the other Saab boards because SaabNet isn't the best place for information regarding hardcore performance mods (mostly old farts here).
I'm not sure what your plans are but one problem I encountered was the height of the newer b engines. You may need to chop the oil pan and convert to a dry sump. One solution I thought of was to use an older slant block (like in the c900/old 9ks) but you'd need a custom adapter plate a that point and I'm not even sure how much more clearance that would allow for. I never really looked into it further becuase tba it would probably be cheaper and easy to use an American V8 depending on the application.
