Dreaded TCS!'92 9kT, manual trans. I have read posts for the past two weeks trying to make sense of my mystery LHM...anyway, I think my problem closely resembles SMP (from about a month ago) car will start/idle and run when feathering the throttle...anything more and TCS light comes on while simultaneously going in to limp Home Mode. Here is what I know so far: replaced all vac lines, checked ohms on valve (29.7) Removed TB and checked ohms. This might be the problem...1 and 7 showed 2.7 steady..then I actuated the butterfly and values went haywire. I fiddled with the black plastic housing ( 7 pin plug) where it enters the aluminum casing of the TB and it moved slightly (as if it wanted to unscrew) after which the values stayed rock steady at 2.7 no matter what I did with the butterfly...hmmm? So I put it all back together and... same deal...TCS and LHM after throttle. OK..so the questions are...what connections should I clean and where are they located. And, Should I suspect the pentiometer or TB since the problem happens when I throttle up? Also worth noting that the car spent most of its life in the rockies...no rust or corrosion that I have noticed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
