93 Aero suspected BPC problem fixed?

Had a problem with boost fluctuation at full throttle.. It was very noticable and almost gave the car a bucking feel under hard acceleration. I suspected the BPC valve but it tested out fine. I then decided to check my plugs and sure enough... the mechanic that did my tune up this winter in Colorado left the plugs gapped at about .65 mm!? He may have left them so close to try and help my cold start problems I was having but Im not sure. Also, they are iridium but Im assuming that doesn't make a difference in the gap. Anyway, i gapped them to within spec (like .93 mm- ish) and filled her with 16.5 gallons of 93 octane from Sonoco. 40 miles of hard driving after 1 adaptation run and I could not reproduce the boost back off that I was having! I haven't gotten on the highway yet so I guess that will be the true test as I was noticing the fluctuation most then but so far so good.
Now Im just wondering if it was the plug gap, the 93 octane gas, or both...
