Next thing I would check is the anti-frost valve. Its under the aquarium cover in a 2x3" box on the top of the evaporator. You can jump that and see if the clutch comes on. Don't loose the cover screw when you take it out. These usually don't go bad, but it is what cycles the compressor on and off with every thing else willing. It sounds like it is running ok, did the clutch stay engaged when you removed the jumper?
