Evan,
Cycling locks suggest insufficient voltage. Is the battery voltage 12.6 VDC or greater?
BATTERY - Load test the battery, or simply verify it can start another car.
IGNITION SWITCH - Appears to be operating as designed as evidenced by the 2 cranks of the engine.
STARTER - Possibly dragging, but doubtful from the reported 2 cranks of the engine.
Simon S. and Bill Homer suggestions to check the cable connections are spot on:
1. Disconnect the battery cables. Clean the inside of the cable terminals with steel wool until they shine.
2. Clean the battery posts with steel wool until they shine. Re-attach and tighten the terminal connections.
3. Locate the black plastic cover next to the positive battery post and open it to expose two 10mm nuts. Each nut secures two eyelets. Remove the nuts and ahine the eyelets with steel wool. Reaasembly is the reverse of this procedure.
4. Trace the positive cable under the intake manifold down to the starter. Remove the 13mm nut and clean it with steel wool. Re-attaaach and tighten the nut.
5. Follow the negative cable to the 12mm securing bolt on the transmission. Remove the bolt, shine it with steel wool. Re-attach and tighten tne negative cable securing bolt.
Now, FAHR THAT MUTHA UP!!!
If the engine STILL doesn't want to spin, remove the DI cassette. Remove each sparkplug and inspect the electrode. A shiny-clean electrode might reveal hydro-locking caused by a leaking headgasket. Watch for coolant exiting the cylinder
