I did the conversion from CS to CSE parts on the motor of our (now my son's) '95 (automatic) and the difference in instant torque was huge -- the turbo turned out major pressure at about 2000 rpm instead of not giving a surge until 3200. I actually had to be careful at stoplights to avoid doing burnouts when the light turned green.
Somewhere on this site there are also instructions for bypassing the thingy in the fusebox which limits output for automatic cars to 200hp rather than 225.
