lots of questions and need more information... however....
if the TCS light is on solid red.... it means it needs to be calibrated.
how do I know.... I have 2x 1992 9000 CDT autos myself.... the TCS light is on solid but NOT in LHM.... so don't think that is your issue. have you had a TECH-2 scan of the car to find out what the various bit think?
calibration requires a working cruise control. in one of the Lemons race cars ( a 1992 9000 T auto converted to a 5 speed...) we swapped out the throttle body for one manual one, required a throttle cable swap, and lots of cutting and pasting.... but as Anders has said in other threads, if your tech is properly trained it can be left as is and just FIXED and should not require throwing parts at it. MY 1992 9000 CDT Auto had an issues in about.... 2002 and it required the throttle body be changed (symptom was that the pedal would start to ease away from my foot - think how it feels with cruise control on... and then after several cycles of doing that.... jump into LHM) That was the fix and it's still working fine.
