false firewall

The mice chewed the insulation off my false firewall. I can get a replacement but I cannot figure out how to get the damaged center section off. The big electrical plug thingy has me stumped. It looks like it just unplugs, but it turns out to be more difficult than that. How? Any suggestions? TIA
