Only three things stand in the way of fuel pressure to the engine. A non running fuel pump, a plugged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pressure regulator.
The pump either runs or it doesn't. If not, you see if there is voltage at the pump. If so, the pump is likely bad. If there is no power at the pump, then it is a wiring, connector, or fuse issue.
