so i posted a while back about my 93 9000 cse stumbling under load, or acceleration at idle. could rev smooth once it got up there, or if you pressed accelerator slowly from idle while parked. anything else it would bog and stumble.
i replaced the coolant temp sensor as someone suggested, if throwing off fuel mixture, no change. di cassettes and AMM swapped, no change. i finally called a traveling mechanic that works on old saabs and he came out to diagnose. he couldn't find anything wrong but said the gas smelled bad, so said to put some sea foam in the fuel tank.
immediately after i did that i noticed an improvement and was able to drive the car around the block like new until i almost got home when it was a little rough but nothing like before. the idle went a little rough then, but smoothed out, and right now it seems about 95% normal.
the car hadn't been driven much since i put gas in the tank at least a year ago, so apparently it went bad or collected moisture.
now i have a low speed fan issue to deal with, didn't come on just now.
