and it's iffy :-) There are timing marks on the edge of the TQ's starter ring gear. Like the ones on the 5spd, these things are annoyingly faint.
I always found them as a definite chore to locate.
Slowly and painfully rotating the flywheel (screwdriver blade on the ring gear teeth) until the marks are seen or felt, is what comes to memory. Often only spotted on the 2nd or 3rd rotation.
Once located, a shot of Spray bomb colour helps to future identify them.
Don't remember what the Timing numbers actually are though. Only remembering the locating chore.
