The older style ecu does not have the same wiring harness connector as the 92-94 9000's or 900's, so you cannot directly plug the older ecu into the connector on a 92-94 900/9000.
The actual ecu is the same between the 900 and 9000. Only real difference is the metal box the circuit board is encased in.
For the 92-94 9000 without TCS, I prefer to use part 95 26 757 ecu to replace the failure prone 41 08 650 ecu with.
