Test the wastegate actuator cannister by Sucking on it's Hose (once detached from the BC valve) Should hold vacuum. Unlikely that that rubber diaphragm would be holed but.. it happens sometimes.
Not quite the right symptoms you typed in though.. still?
Didn't your Mech fit another BCV ? As you stated that, I assumed your BCV was Fine. Or was it just a tester? In which case Why? didn't it Fix the problem during testing??.
BCV's either work or don't work.. damned little ambiguity. A 20 min test drive reveals all.
Methinks this may not be the root issue.
Assuming then that your BCV actually IS intermittent ? AND it's not a fueling/ spark issue??
It's possible to at least clean the BCV by removing it by washing it out with spritz's of WD40.. as sometimes they get gummed with blowby (?).
Worth a try at least.
Failing that one CAN rebuild the rascals.
But It might be beyond your interests to try.
T7 is the cheapest path, But these can be noisy things.. just a head's up. New and improved .. maybe :-)
2 paths to a T7 refit:
a) diy the ECU to accept a T7 valve and reflash the thing for Mo' Go! in process
b) Buy the T7 bodge kit
Your choice... Should ?.. it actually Need a fresh BCV.
