More rust belt fun! Today while driving my 9000 suddenly the brake pedal started sinking and the brake fluid light came on. Fortunately I had some extra fluid on hand and was not far from home.
I found that a brake line has rusted through up front where it bends to go up the firewall:
The line appears to go up then across to the area of the master cylinder. For most of its length it looks pretty inaccessible, so I'm thinking of patching in a length of good line to replace the rusted part. It looks like the line should pull away enough to get a tubing cutter and flaring tool in there.
So the question is, what size line and fittings are used on the 9000 so I can get suitable line, fittings, and flaring tool?
