9000 proactive maintenance is the key

I have moved on to the 9-3 as of late. I miss my 9000 but feel it had to go to someone else that had more time on their hands. I can say that the newer cars seem more maintenance free. The 9000 required proactive service vs. reactive. It was a lot of fun to learn about the car and repair it but it did compete with my wife for valuable time. Things are more normalized with my time now.
I will say there is no better car for it's time in the '90's than the 9000 (in my opinion). Repairs are common on cars that are engineered to go a long, long time. The 9000 always gave me fair warning if a repair was needed except for the fuel pump failure. This board discussions are completely different than the 9-3 board. Different animals and different owners/drivers. I noticed this right away when I moved over.
Keep Saabing!!!
