Find/call Saab parts dealer in your area. If they have blanks, which they did in Ramsey NJ, it can be sent to Atlanta to have it cut based on original key code based on VIN code. They might ask for registration to verify you are the actual owner.
I opted to NOT send the blanks to Atlanta to save bux, and wasted a lot of time/money.
There was only ONE locksmith in a multicounty area around here that would cut this type. He had all the software, key cutters, etc., etc., etc., and of the six he cut only two worked.
The Saab original keys are steel. Most aftermarket replacements are brass. Either material was giving this locksmith's machines fits.
If I recall the blanks from dealer were $21 and the cut fee from locksmith in ATL was 50 each (not exactly sure.)
Be glad you are not trying to replace lost transponder keys like in the newer Saabs, it is much more difficult and expensive from what I gather.
