If I understand you correctly, you've removed the bracket and motor assembly from the car, and you're yanking on the toothed plastic cable in hopes of pulling it out?
If so, that won't get it done. You need to remove the motor from the bracket, unscrew the backplate, pull out the spool, and remove the cable that way (including the broken off remnant that is always left coiled around the spool.
Then, without inserting the new cable, reassemble the motor assembly, and with the radio switched ON, reconnect the wiring. You'll need to bridge some contacts with a screwdriver (don't remember where exactly) to get the motor to energize.
Now carefully insert the new toothed cable down the rabbit hole after being sure it's properly threaded through the various brackets and tubes, and have an assistant turn OFF the radio to send the "retract" command to the motor. Using your screwdriver to alternately bridge and break the circuit to energize the motor, gradually allow the new antenna to be drawn into the spool. Take your time until you have things positioned correctly to stuff the metal antenna mast down into its seat, and screw it back in.
Since it's your first time, you might have to repeat the process after you suddenly realize that wiring loom was supposed to go THIS way, not THAT way. Only the mildest Swedish curse words should be necessary but you'll eventually figure it all out and be done.
Good luck!
