The parts fit together snugly. I think they were assembled with an adhesive, not a sealer. For this job the Loctite product linked below should work. It doesn't distort (melt) the plastic surfaces. Sets in 25 minutes, fully cures in 24 hours, good for temps up to 180F which is high enough.
The junk yard Saab would have to be a 1993 9-3 in order for that BPC to be compatible with a 9000 ECU. Both coils should be good if you're getting 2.7 ohms. There is a disc inside that wears out and/or gets stuck, so if the BPC doesn't work that could be the reason why not.
