For a $300 car, I'd say leave well enough alone. There are some checklists (a few I wrote) in the archives and I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with them. If the car only runs badly when it's moving, typically that points away from the TCS safety valve -- throttle body, etc. -- but if the car enters poor running condition BEFORE you move it, then you might be able to fix the problem using the classic TCS safety valve swap or replacement. Again, check the archives for that procedure, as I know I've posted it more than once.
Otherwise, you could get the car scanned using an ISAT or Tech II, and based on the trouble codes you can decide what to do.
I would definitely counsel against just throwing parts at it since that rarely works, and you'd soon eclipse what you have in the car. You are so far ahead right now, why not see how far the car can go without further investment?
