To clarify symptoms of air leaks: Unmetered air coming in will cause a lean condition; metered air being lost will cause a rich condition. So any leak between the AMM and the turbocharger inlet, will cause a lean condition at all times. A leak between the turbocharger and the throttle body would most likely cause a rich condition at all times. A leak downstream of the throttle plate would obviously cause idle problems, but would cause a lean condition at idle and cruise, while causing a rich condition under boost.
