Yes, through the dip stick tube. Don't pour it in too fast when it is close to full. Assuming the transmission isn't hot from recent driving fill it to the full mark on the cold side of the dip stick. Then drive for about 20 miles and check the level on the hot side of the dip stick. The distance between index marks is about 1 pint. Don't overfill it. Be gentle when inserting the dip stick. The end of the dip stick is plastic and easy to break off.
The transmission doesn't consume fluid. You might be able to find the leak by looking underneath and by checking the transmission cooling circuit.
Possible leak locations:
1. Loose drain plug (8 mm Allen wrench fits it)
2. Loose filter cover (round piece at bottom of transmission held by 3 bolts with 10 mm heads.
3. Damaged or missing O-ring on the filter cover.
4. Cooling lines running from the transmission to the radiator.
5. Transmission cooling end of the radiator.
6. Loose connection of a cooling line at the radiator.
