So I didn't properly do my homework to realize that my 1995 has the Sanden (SD is all over it).
I shouldn't have just rushed in but all of the posts that i saw online (various sites) stating that it should just take 10 minutes made me over confident and so I rushed out and forced it.
Because I can't find clutches for sale on their own to replace my screwdriver warped one I need to decide whether its worth it to me to replace the whole compressor $$$ or let the sun set on my 9000 experience (as hard as it is to say) and move on.
Other Big money items coming up include:
Leaking power steering rack
Stick shift bucking in 3rd and 4th (new tranny needed)
New brakes all around
BPC fluctuation mysteries
The looming threat of a rebuild or head gasket as I'm at 230K
I know I'm not the only one shopping parts worth more that the car. I think we are all here now. How many of us will be here in 5 years?
I believe the 9000 Aero will always be the best car I ever owned. If i had a barn to store it I would. If I won the lottery I'd pay to have it 100% restored and keep it in my collection for ever.
