Climate control acting weird for the first time Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Tue, 5 Jan 2016 20:10:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Tonight was really the second cold night in Boston and I was humming along in the 9000 with the heat cranking nicely and my butt warmer on high. I parked my car for a couple of minutes, and went back out. When I started it up, the ACC displayed "0" for a few seconds as if it were calibrating, and then switched back to 70. I've never seen it do this before.
I realized in a minute that there was no heat pumping at all anymore. I could crank the fan but no matter the temp setting, it was stuck on cold air. I parked, went to a meeting for 2 hours, and came back out (to a parking ticket, thanks Somerville). This time, after starting, I got nice warm air, but only from the defrost vents. Changing the air direction on the ACC does nothing.
I've calibrated a bunch of times, and still get a 0.
Thoughts? My first guess is the ACC unit itself is brain farting.
