the easiest way I have found a clean it is to remove the majority of the stuff around it to make it easier to disconnect the rubber hoses off of the intake manifold.then once you've removed all of the stuff around where the air idlecontrol valve is at,you can access the clamps to remove the whole unit hoses and all. Be careful disconnecting the electrical connector from the air idlecontrol valve. the electrical wire may be held in by zip ties or something else which makes it kind of difficult to disconnect it from the air idle control valve just take your time so you don't break the connector.
