9000's with or without rear well rust Posted by ThomasJ [Email] (#780) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ThomasJ) on Tue, 19 Feb 2019 06:00:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This is purely IMHO...I had a dime sized bit of bubbling peeking out from the small body side molding forward of the rear well. I had it repaired with METAL... and decided to remove the other side molding and just a very small start of bubbles were starting from the one of the inserts for the molding...
My opinion is that because the molding follows the body line and sticks out the furthest....the road salts pour or splash onto the body and seep into any gap for that molding and feasts on your lovely 9000...
So...either remove and clean or thoroughly flush that area and put some wax or a bead of something appropriate to keep that crap out of there.
