Pictogram died Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Tue, 30 Apr 2019 14:03:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The pictogram in my '97 CSE has gone completely dead. I actually had not noticed until trying out my new Tech2 clone when I was going through the various functions and it reported that the SRS light was "open or shorted". So taking a look it was quickly obvious nothing in the pictogram was working.
Checking the archives it looks like a bad ground would have that effect and I'll be checking for that. Anything else I should look for aside from something obvious like a loose connector? (Is there a fuse or relay specific to this feature?)
I did have the dash top off and instrument cluster out pretty recently to fix another problem but for the life of me cannot remember whether the pictogram was working afterwards. (Memory is the second thing to go. I forget what the first thing is. :) )
Not a vital feature but nice to have working if for no other reason than to alert me if I've accidentally hit the trunk release on the remote.
