I noticed the leak because the outer part of the inner right CV joint was wet, in this case power steering fluid. The junction between the rubber hose and the hard line is immediately above this point, so it's pretty obvious where the leak is originating. On my last 9000, I had the hoses rebuilt by a local hydraulic shop, which is a lot less expensive than a new hose and probably with higher quality materials.
I may even have a spare, as someone gave me a box of 9000 parts including some hoses when they sold their 9000. My wife hates that I have boxes of "worthless" old parts sitting in the garage.
