I wish that were true, I have been looking for a FA4320 box from a CSE (2.3l) and have found several FA4300 boxes for the CS (2.1l) but precious few FA4320. I corresponded with a guy who wanted to put a CS box in his CSE who wrote me the following:
The answer is... yes the 2.3 turbo boxes differ internally from the 2.0 boxes, they are stronger build so they can handle more torque. So no, it is not a good idea to put a 2.0 box behind a 2.3 engine and boost the crap out of it
Picture below illustrates one of the differences, FA43005 planetary gear set on the left, FA43205 on the right. The last one has a different spline, the axle of the intermediate shaft that is coming from the 3/4 clutch drum is thicker.
If you know better, I'd love to know!
