Want to share my experience, which is ongoing...
I bought my 93 9000 CSE out of town and drove it home 450 miles without incident. I worked on some interior and dash issues for several days. When I went to drive it, the clutch pedal was against the floor. I began exploring three areas- master cylinder (not terrible), slave (please not that one) and the clutch line (in the rubber section).
I opened up the brake fluid reservoir and noticed the fluid was down below the port that goes to the hose to the master cylinder. How or why the fluid got low is a great question, but I figured I should just bleed the system to see what happens.
I did so, and now the clutch feels fine. For how long remains to the be seen and I be keeping on eye on the MC, the rubber section of the clutch line and puddles underneath the transmission to indicate a leaky slave. I have also read that failed slaves do not always leak.
One thing that I noticed is that the 'clutch section of the brake reservoir only seems to hold about 25mm. I have the TCS reservoir. So it seems tiny and will be sensitive to systems with leaks.
Until I get this figured out, a will keep some Pentosin in the trunk. Happy SAABing
