Thanks. I was able to get some fluid to move through the right rear caliper and am now working on the left side. I think your point of giving the system time to settle is spot on. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the ABS pump to work. I figure that I'll concentrate on getting fluid to each caliper then tackle the ABS pump. Right now I left the rear bleeder cracked to let gravity do its thang.
On my 1991, the assist is provided by the ABS pump and not by vacuum, so from what I understand, THe ABS pump operation is essential for safe braking. One other member provided a post with a very detailed trouble-shooting guide that I'll follow after I complete the manual bleeding. Thanks for taking the time to respond and to share your insights.
