This is a strange one.
1994 9000 Aero, automatic.
Car's running awesome, stop on the way home from work (end of a 20 mile drive) to pick up some groceries.
Get out of the store, start car, back out of parking spot, everything seems normal so far.
Put transmission in Drive, get about two spaces across the lot and the engine is missing badly. Throttle position seems to make little (if any) difference. Limp home wondering if I'm going to make it (it's only about a mile from store to house).
Today I go out and start it, starts normally. Reverse works, drive does the same thing, bad miss. Try to back up, reverse is now gone. Put transmission in Low, engine smooths out and I'm able to drive around the block with no issues.
Why an engine miss only in Drive, why does Reverse go away once Drive has been engaged, why does everything seem to work perfectly in Low?
This one is starting to hurt my brain, need help from the hive mind.
