I pulled the B234 2.3 out a few years ago and rebuilt most of it (the short block was still in excellent shape), including the external parts & all hoses. One of the formed hoses feeding the lower coolant fitting at the throttle body (non-TCS) was not available anywhere so I created one out of 3/8" copper. You will need:
- (2) 90° fittings
- (1) 45° fitting
- Short length of coiled bendable 3/8" copper line. I was able to purchase one foot at the local hardware store
Dry-fit as shown using the old hose to help match the curve, then solder together. With this, one only needs to connect to each fitting using standard straight hose lengths & clamps
The item is shown in the eSaabParts diagram at the link under #15 (no longer available)
Hope this helps!
