Squealing Brakes and a turbo idea

Two items here:
I replaced my front brakes this weekend with a new set of MetalMasters, and sanded down the disks a bit in the hopes that it would cure the squealing I was getting. It didn't. I broke in the new pads according to directions, slowly and gently, but they squeal just as much. Has anyone had luck with the "stop squeal" compounds out there? It may just be time for new slotted rotors...
Second item:
I had an idea and was wondering if anyone had tried it - I know never to give full turbo boost before the engine is fully wormed up, but I like to make sure I give it almost no boost, especially when the engine is very cold. It's a bit of a pain to do, and I'm always watching my boost needle for the first few minutes I drive... has anyone had the idea of fitting a "turbo cutoff" switch in their cabin, which would inturrupt the power to the BPC valve? Am I correct in my thinking that this would serve to allow a maximum of only base boost? I think this might be an interesting idea, not to mention it would be pretty cool.
