Hi folks!
I hit a really bi bump the other night (I was coming up to a light which I was expecting to turn yellow at any moment, going about 70 kms/h, around 45 mph) and I missed seing a great big dropoff in the street (road work had taken place, no sign was there to warn me, but I was going too fast for that street, so it's partially my fault). I didn't ride the brakes going through the dip, and thank god I didn't, the front spoiler survived with a few scuff marks (it would have broke had the car had more nose dive).

Anyway, since then, the engine vibrates/shudders for a second when I leave from a stop, forward or reverse. It feels rougher, it shakes, but only on takeoff, and only for the first second. (the car is a '96 9000 Aero, automatic, if that helps). There is also a squeak/shriek at about 1300RPM, that wasn't there before. The steering also makes mooing noises when I turn at low speeds (I had the fluid changed a few months ago, and it seemed better until now). I hear a sound that resembles screws rolling around in the dash, on the driver side, under the steering column, more towards the door than towards the center of the dash (a terrible thing to hear, makes me feel like I'm driving a cheap piece of crap that's on the way to hell).

What could that bump have done to my car? It now feels old, cheap and clunky! The wheel alignment survived the incident, so did the wheels. What could be wrong? Is there impending doom in my near future? I'd like to love my car again! I feel like killing that construction crew than didn't deem a multi-inch drop worthy of a road sign... And I'm in Canada, folks, where we don't sue people at every occasion (damn)

Thanks for your guidance in this matter! Have a great day!
