Need more info. Do you have 195/60 or 195/55, and what is the diameter, 15 or 16?
Here's the math trick to figure out equivalent sizes:
The 55 or 60 represents the ratio of the height of the tire to the width, in percent. So a 195/60 15 tire has a width of 195 mm, sidewall height of 60% of this, or 117 mm, or 11.7 cm If on a 15 inch wheel (38.1 cm, that is 2.54 cm to the inch), the radius of the tire/wheel combo is 38.1 + 11.7 cm, or 49.8 cm. The circumference is then 2 x pi x radius = 2 x 3.14159 x 49.8 = 312 cm. To compare, 205/55 15 has a circumference of 310 cm, basically the same.
I've run 205's on my '88 9kt without problems; they are 60 series, so I'm sure 55's will fit even better. On the other hand, my '91 9kt came with 205/55 16's, and they rubbed, but the OEM size 205/50 16's does not.
