The deer died, now my insurance wants to kill my 88 9KT. But it was a BIG deer (hit at 55 mph). The car did amazingly well. Only the left front corner is damaged. In my initial exam, the damage looks confined to the hood, grill, fender and lights. The bad part is the upper radiator support a/c condenser and radiator are pushed back at the top. The rad support looks like it bolts on. The inner fender is bent at the front only slightly. The bumper may have stroked, but it is still in proper position.
Has anyone repaired such an animal? (Not the deer, the car.)
BTW, the upper tip of the fender becomes a sharp, lethal projection when the hood and lights are pushed back. Makes for a messy cleanup.
