As they both have the same engine. I say get the '93, as frankly both those prices are a steal! I'm constantly amazed at just how cheap people in areas other than my own state (of course) can get Saabs! $5k for a seven year old car that cost over $30k new is incredible. And if it has had major repairs as you say (I'm guessing possibly tranny, DI cassettes, maybe head gasket?), it's an even better deal, as those are things you won't have to address yourself for some time, maybe never. The '91 should be a little faster off the line, even discounting the TCS on the '93 (which I've read can be disable with some sort of kit, others will know more). Mechanically, I'd say it's a toss up either way, unless one is an automatic and one is a stick, then cross the automatic off your list. I'd get whichever one looks in better shape mechanically, with records to back that up, rather than mileage alone.
I personally like the '91 body style the best, though I don't care for the painted bumper top and bottom, but what are you gonna do. :)
Either way, enjoy!
