saab service, 1 thing fixed, now 2 things wrong

Sorry--I just moved this post from general, as the 9000 board seems to get much more traffic...
I brought my 1995 9000 CSE (50k mls) into a saab dealer for a new altenator, tension pulleys, belts.... The car konked out on me a few days back but other than that the car has been working fine.
$1200 later (thank goodness for my extended warranty)I get the car back with 2 odd NEW problems.
1) at start up there is a small hissing noise seemingly from inside my dash, middle, close to the engine. maybe the thermostat releasing pressure?...then my heat would not operate properly. after the car and cabin warmed up and I turned the heat down, I could not get it to come back on to blow warm air until i put the temp into the 80 degree range. before the heat problem I called service and explained the noise and they said maybe a leaf got in the in the blower. After the heat problem they said bring it in and they'll take a look
2)this morning, 5 days after the altenator repair, I noticed when I step on the brake to shift, the light on my shift console blinked on and off and then when I put the car in drive it went out entirely.
Now instead of being confident that my car was fixed, I am concerned that I have an electrical problem brewing and I worry about a long trip to vermont.
Can this all be coincidence, as the dealer is most certainly going to claim while they charge me another $1000, Or do I demand that the car was fine before going in for service and they fouled something up.
Any advice on how to proceed would be welcome.
