Depends. If you've really hot-rodded your car, boosted horsepower, with stiffer shocks and lower springs, then go for the solid mounts. They will reduce engine movement and improve shifting.
However, if your car is still stock, go for the hydraulic mounts. The solid mounts transmit a lot more vibration. If you've made major modifications to the car, you won't notice a little more vibration, and stiffer shocks and lower springs mean you already don't mind giving up ride quality for comfort. But if the car is stock, the extra vibration from the solid mounts may be objectionable. And you don't want to pay for another set of mounts if the steering wheel is shaking like a paint mixer.
If you happen to have a really smooth engine, or the resonances are just right, you might be able to get away with the cheaper (solid mounts) and not notice the vibration. But I've put solid mounts into a car and seen some pretty impressive vibration at idle.
Considering the effort involved in installing engine mounts, pay the extra money. I've done it a few times and not regretted it once.
Good luck!
